The Most Wanted Gift: A Dollhouse of Dreams from Little Forest Animals

Little Forest Animals

Childhood is that magical chapter when everything feels possible, and even the smallest details hold meaning. Toys are not just for play—they spark imagination, nurture creativity, and help shape the way children see the world. Yet, in today’s fast-paced, oversaturated market, finding a toy with true heart and purpose can be a challenge.

The dollhouse has always held a special place in children’s lives, offering a stage where stories, dreams, and design come together. Little Forest Animals has taken this timeless idea and elevated it into something truly extraordinary. Exquisite, sustainable, and educational, their dollhouses are more than toys—they’re heirlooms in the making, destined to be the star of any playroom.

This year, Little Forest Animals was named Winner of the Junior Style Awards 2025 in the Best Lifestyle & Toys category, and we had the pleasure of sitting down with its founder, Omer Gungordu, to hear how a father’s handmade project grew into one of the most coveted gifts around the world. Because when children’s dreams are supported, they grow into adults with the courage to turn imagination into reality.

1. Can you please introduce yourself and your brand Little Forest Animals?
I’m Omer Gungordu, born in Istanbul. Before founding Little Forest Animals, I spent many years working in finance at Deloitte, EY, JPMorgan, and Citi. I completed my studies in Sydney, Australia. At the end of the pandemic, when our son asked for a dollhouse, everything shifted.

As a father, I wanted to find him something truly special—something timeless, built to last. When I couldn’t, I thought, “Then I’ll make one myself.” What began as a gift for my son quickly grew into something bigger. We shared the house on our social media, and it drew immediate attention. At the time, we were still producing everything at home. Soon after, our products began to be sold at Turkey’s most prestigious department store, yet even then, all the production was still happening in our living rooms. Then came an email from Harrods, which became a real turning point for Little Forest Animals. It was the moment we began to believe this could be more than just a hobby.

Today, our products are available at many leading retailers across the US, UK, France, Germany, the Middle East, and Asia. Little Forest Animals is a team of six—me, Deniz, Batu, Kutay, Senem, and Burak. We are still small, but we are surrounded by family and friends who have supported us from the very beginning. The first houses were built in my parents’ home, after long nights of sanding, painting, and assembling. Without them, there would be no Little Forest Animals, and to this day they continue to help us with production. Later, we moved into Deniz’s house, which completely transformed into a workshop. That kind of support is what has shaped our brand. And I should add that no one at LFA thinks of this as just a company. Everyone feels part of the process and takes part in every step. That is why we consider ourselves so fortunate.

2. What inspired you to create a dollhouse business?
My father is an architect, and although I built my career in finance, I’ve always been drawn to design. When my son asked for a dollhouse, I thought: why not create one with architecture in mind? There are so many inspiring buildings around the world—why not bring them into a child’s playroom in miniature form? That’s how the idea of architectural dollhouses was born.

3. Could you share a bit about your background?
I graduated in Business Administration in Turkey and completed my master’s degree in Australia. From the very beginning of my career, I have worked in finance and financial consulting, and I am currently a Vice President at Citi.

4. How did the journey of Little Forest Animals begin?
Our story began with something different. During the pandemic, as working parents, we couldn’t find the right artwork for our son’s room. We ended up ordering an illustration from the UK—a long, complicated process. That experience led us to license 256 illustrations we loved from around the world and sell them framed. But once dollhouses entered our lives, we couldn’t continue both projects, and the illustrations had to be put aside.

5. What are your plans and dreams for the brand?
In September 2024, we exhibited at Maison&Objet in Paris for the first time. Those five days changed everything. We decided we didn’t want to be in Paris only for a fair, but every day of the year. In May 2025, we opened the world’s first dollhouse boutique for children, right here in Paris. Admittedly, it was a bold move—because who opens a store with just one product? ☺ But that’s exactly the point: for us, a dollhouse isn’t just a toy, it’s a universe. It’s the most timeless, emotional, and meaningful toy of all. Ask anyone—no matter their age, they can recall every detail of their dollhouse. Our dream is to one day open in New York and London, but only when the right time and place come along. Beyond this, we want to explore collaborations across many different industries. There are fashion houses whose spirit we deeply admire and whose style we feel would beautifully complement our dollhouses, and working with them is something we truly hope for. At the same time, we notice a similar trend in the global furniture market as we do in toys: too many designs are cost-driven, leaving children’s furniture overly uniform. Rooms today often feel colourless, dominated by white or natural tones. Yet when we look back at nurseries of the past, they were alive with colour, pattern, and well-crafted furniture. That is why we are preparing to reintroduce vintage-inspired, colourful designs in the future.

6. Can you walk us through the manufacturing and design process? Is the dollhouse fragile, and is it designed more as a play piece or as an interior décor object?
That’s a great question. Dollhouses usually fall into two categories. The first are decorative pieces made for adults that are not really meant to be played with. The second are those designed for children, which must be more durable and pass strict safety tests. At Little Forest Animals, we could easily create detailed decorative houses and that part is simple. The real challenge is designing houses sturdy enough for children to play with while also meeting international certifications. None of our models use nails or screws and making a house of this scale stand strong without them took years of research and development. In our studio in Istanbul, we manage the entire process from raw wood to the finished packaged product. We work with traditional methods, without machines, and every piece is handmade. We are always developing new models, but only when we feel completely satisfied with them, and that, honestly, can be the hardest part. ☺

7. Why did you choose to work in the children’s lifestyle industry?
Little Forest Animals is proof that the best ideas often come from need. We saw that many companies were producing in the same factories in the Far East, and a product as special as a dollhouse was becoming standardized, losing its soul. As a father, that made me feel my son deserved something better—something lasting that could be passed down. We never began with the idea of entering the children’s sector; it simply grew from that instinct. Today we are a small team of six, each with different backgrounds, and every model we design reflects the spirit we share at that moment. Everyone has a hand in it. Last summer, for instance, we were working so intensely that we couldn’t take a proper holiday, and we found ourselves longing for summer. We pictured ourselves in a Palm Beach house, swimming and soaking up the sun, and that daydream became the House of Palm Beach. It came to life through all our ideas and the needs we were each feeling at the time.

8. Your dollhouses are truly dream houses. Do you believe aesthetics are important for children? If yes, why?
Our starting point was never about giving children many toys but about giving them fewer that are truly special pieces that are well-designed, aesthetic, and made to last. Unfortunately, the market is full of toys that are overly colourful, loud, and lacking in design quality. Perhaps children choose them simply because that is what is offered to them. We wanted to take a different path, creating toys in softer, pastel tones with thoughtful design. When children look at our dollhouses, we want them to say, “This feels like Parisian architecture,” or “That one looks English.” By giving them this awareness early on, they begin to play with a new level of understanding. That is why every crate we send includes the story of the house inside, so the child knows the world they are stepping into.

9. Although you are a young brand, your houses are already highly desired in the market. What do you attribute your success to?
We didn’t actually work very hard on promotion. In fact, we have done almost no advertising at all. From the beginning, our thought was simple: there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Throughout history, extraordinary dollhouses have been created and cherished across generations. What we wanted was not cost-driven production—the disease of our times—but models built around quality. We believed there must be people searching for that same focus on quality, and indeed there were. That realization has made us very happy. We have only been in this field for two and a half years, but the interest we have received has been a constant source of motivation.

10. What advice would you give to someone just starting a business in children’s fashion or lifestyle?
Our advice would be this: don’t do something just to make money, do it to create something meaningful. Love the work you do, be proud of it, and only then share it with others. If you treat your work like your child—caring for it, fixing its flaws, and nurturing it—you’ll find all the answers you need in the way people respond. And finally, there is never a need to repeat what has already been done. Whatever you choose to create, it is always possible to make it different. Be unique.

11. What message does your brand aim to share?
It may sound like a cliché today, but what we truly aim to create are products that carry emotions and memories. The children who play with our houses are between the ages of one and nine, yet when they are seventy or eighty, they will still remember those houses. They will be taken back to their past. Our goal in this age of technology is to draw children away from screens and into the timeless world of handmade dollhouses.

12. What inspires you personally and creatively?
My son is my greatest source of inspiration. As our brand grows, he grows alongside it, and his interests are constantly changing. At first, he wanted a house so his animal figures wouldn’t get wet; now he wants us to build a football stadium. No matter how creative we try to be, we can never think as freely as children do, and we love these unexpected turns. It is incredible to see a child invent a completely different game with our houses; in ways we never imagined. We can spend months working day and night on a model, and then a child looks at it and offers an idea or a critique none of us could have thought of.

13. What is your favorite place in the world?
I grew up in Istanbul, a city where civilizations overlap and intertwine. Later, I spent time in Alaska and Alabama, experiencing two very different sides of American culture, and then lived for three and a half years in Sydney, one of the most delightful cities in the world. I’ve had the chance to see nearly fifty countries, and I’ve realized that where I feel happiest has always been tied to my state of mind. There was a time when being in Bali, before it became so popular, made me incredibly happy; Australia was perfect for my student years; and Europe began to feel more fulfilling after I turned thirty-five.

14. What is your favorite building in the world, and why?
This is a difficult question to answer. I believe a building becomes unique when it is united with the story behind it. It doesn’t need to be as monumental as the Taj Mahal, built with immense wealth, or as ancient and labour-intensive as the Pyramids. What matters to me are the stories that belong to these structures. I love listening to them, researching them, and I have been deeply moved by so many.

15. What role does storytelling or imagination play in your creations?
That’s another wonderful question. As I mentioned earlier, when we design a model, we do so as adults in our thirties and forties, but children don’t always see things the same way. For example, during photoshoots we arrange the furniture in the rooms according to our own sense of order. Then a child comes along and says, “No, it wouldn’t be like this,” and rearranges everything, creating their own connection with the house. We love that moment because it teaches us to see from a perspective we had overlooked.
We also receive countless messages from parents who tell us their children wake up each morning and set breakfast for their dolls or tuck them in at night before going to bed themselves. For us, that is an extraordinary feeling.
We once created a model called the House of Stockholm, and it came entirely from a child who loved horses and asked, “Can this horse also live in our house?” Sometimes there are physical limitations in real life, but in the world of play nothing is impossible. That’s exactly why we love it so much.

16. Do you think toys and interior pieces like dollhouses can influence children’s sense of style and creativity?
Yes, absolutely. Every dollhouse we create is designed with architecture and design references, so children absorb these aesthetics naturally. They don’t just play; they begin to recognize styles, proportions, and cultural influences. This shapes their awareness of design and sparks creativity in the way they reimagine spaces.

17. What has been the most rewarding moment so far on your journey with Little Forest Animals?
Today, our houses can be found in Bergdorf Goodman, Harrods, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Beymen, Ounass, Printemps, Lodenfrey, El Corte Inglés, and many other leading stores around the world. But I think the most unforgettable moment for us was when we had only three models and received an email from Harrods saying, “We would like to carry your products.” Until that day, we were still a small local brand producing in our own home. That was the moment we truly felt our work had reached an international level.

Little Forest Animals dollhouse

18. If you could collaborate with any designer, artist, or brand, who would it be and why?
Another great question. Personally, we find so much inspiration in reading brand stories and learning about the people who give those brands their soul. One of the figures who has inspired us most recently is Jonathan Anderson. What he has achieved with Loewe is extraordinary, and now at Dior he continues to weave references to its heritage into something fresh and modern. His creativity is something we truly admire.
We also deeply respect Cordelia de Castellane, who has been creating beautiful work with Dior for many years, and it would be a dream to collaborate with the house one day. And then there is Simon Porte Jacquemus, who built his brand from scratch and consistently grounds his designs in the colours and landscapes of the place he grew up. To us, that is the essence of authentic storytelling.
What we love most are creations that are instantly recognizable, even without a logo—when you can sense who made them just by their spirit. Whether it is the timeless patterns used by Cordelia de Castellane or Jonathan Anderson’s inventive ideas, they both achieve that quality. With Little Forest Animals, we hope for the same: that when someone sees a dollhouse or a piece of furniture, they will say, “That must be Little Forest Animals.” It is precisely for this reason that our products carry no logo at all.

handmade dollhouse

19. How do you see the balance between sustainability, quality, and design in your work?
Whatever material you look at, nature has already given us the finest version—wood, stone, diamond, steel. Humanity may create imitations, but they can never truly replace what is natural. For that reason, we choose to craft all our products from wood and never use plastic. Our designs are conceived to live in harmony with this material, and we are certain that if we had produced them in plastic instead, our brand would never have resonated in the same way.

20. Finally, what do you like about Junior Style?
Junior Style has been important to us because it is our primary source for following developments in the children’s design world. We’ve discovered many brands through your magazine, and we’ve also had the pleasure of being featured. Reading those stories lets us follow other brands’ journeys and draw inspiration from their designs. The annual “Best of the Year” selection is always a highlight for us, too. We’re deeply grateful to your whole team for their hard work—thank you, and long may you continue.

Meet Emma and her mom, Dania—a creative fashion enthusiast whose closet never fails to inspire us. Their blog isn’t about chasing numbers, but about building a safe community of like-minded people and creating a shared space to bond through fashion and creativity. On our recent visit to New York, we joined them in Central Park for a playful afternoon of dress-up, capturing favorite looks in between feeding the geese, feeling the fountain’s breeze, and soaking in the vibrant energy of people-watching. Between laughter and snapshots, our conversation turned to children’s fashion, the value of self-presentation, the art of cultivating personal style, and the sweet childhood memories that give it all meaning.

A Conversation on Style, Motherhood & Magic Moments: Meet Emma and Her Mom Dania.

Can you start by telling us a little about yourself and your daughter, Emma?
I’m a proud mom of two, and Emma is my firstborn and only daughter. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been passionate about fashion—and becoming a mother was always my greatest dream. When Emma was born, everything aligned: motherhood, fashion, and my love for photography came together in the most natural way. It felt like destiny.

What inspired you to start your blog and share your family’s style journey?
What started as a sweet hobby—sharing moments with friends and family—blossomed into a beautiful and supportive community. The more content I shared, the more meaningful connections we formed.

Emma’s joy in front of the camera and her excitement every time she got to wear something new was truly magical. Her enthusiasm became my biggest inspiration. Along the way, we’ve made lifelong friendships and experienced wonderful opportunities that have deeply enriched our lives. I’m excited to see how it continues to evolve—especially as Emma begins to take the reins herself one day.

What is Emma like? What are her dreams, passions, or hobbies?
Emma is a kind soul with a strong spirit. She’s assertive, confident, and incredibly caring—especially when it comes to her younger brother, Liam. They have a very close bond, and it warms my heart to watch their friendship grow.

She’s playful and imaginative, but also surprisingly driven—she loves running laps in our yard and challenging herself to do better each time.
Her dreams are as vibrant as her personality: she wants to be a mom, a model, a veterinarian, and dreams of traveling the world.
Emma loves drawing, singing, playing with her dolls, and spending time outdoors.

Emma is always so stylish—how do you approach shopping for her wardrobe?
I stay connected with my favorite brands, always looking out for collections that reflect both beauty and comfort. When choosing pieces, I think about whether Emma will love them and if she’ll feel comfortable wearing them.

Our style leans toward timeless, classic, and elegant pieces in soft, refined palettes that feel both sophisticated and age-appropriate.

Do you plan her outfits in advance, or is it more spontaneous?
For holidays and special occasions, I often plan ahead, gathering inspiration and watching for new releases. But sometimes I’ll spot a piece and instantly know it’s “so Emma”—and we’ll style around it spontaneously. It’s a blend of planning and intuition.

What are some of your favorite children’s fashion brands?

  • Mourenne: Their designs are straight out of a fairytale. They’ve brought my fashion dreams to life.

  • Charlotte sy Dimby: A truly special brand for us. Emma has worn their French hand-smocked dresses for years, especially during Christmas. Each dress tells a story and has become part of our family tradition.

  • Janie and Jack: One of the first brands Emma wore, and it holds nostalgic value—it reminds me of where our journey began.

Why is dressing up your kids important to you?
It’s a form of creative expression, a bonding experience, and a way to teach Emma about presentation and self-care. For us, fashion isn’t about labels or price tags—it’s about intention, imagination, and respect for craft. I want Emma to understand that dressing well is an extension of how we show up in the world, and a reflection of who we are.

Does the wardrobe we see online reflect her real life?
Absolutely. While some looks are styled for content, Emma wears many of her outfits for real-life events—family outings, holidays, or special gatherings. And just as importantly, she has clothing that’s perfect for the playground too. I believe fashion fits into every part of life—it’s just about choosing the right outfit for each moment.

Childhood in style

Some people say kids should be free to get messy without worrying about clothes. What’s your view?
I completely agree—kids should have the freedom to play and explore. My philosophy is that there’s an outfit for everything. Muddy adventures? We have the perfect outfit for that. Style and freedom can go hand in hand.

What does style mean to Emma?
To Emma, dressing up makes her feel like a princess. That feeling of joy and confidence is priceless. She truly loves expressing herself through fashion.

Do you teach her to care for her clothes?
Yes, but always with love and appreciation, never restriction. I want her to understand the value behind each piece—the thought, effort, and craftsmanship that goes into making it. At nine, she’s already mindful and knows which pieces require extra care. It’s wonderful to see that awareness grow naturally in her.

childhood in style

What does fashion mean to you as a mother and content creator?
As a mother, fashion has been a way to bring my dreams to life and bond with my children. As a content creator, it’s opened doors to a warm and inspiring community. I’ve had the joy of collaborating with brands, meeting creative teams, and supporting small businesses whose work I admire deeply.

Has Emma started to develop her own sense of style?
Definitely! She has a say in her wardrobe. I always ask for her input when making purchases, and if she doesn’t love something, she knows we can return or exchange it. Her voice matters—and I want her to feel confident expressing her taste.

mourenne

How do you balance fashion with practicality for Emma’s daily routine?
It all comes down to dressing for the occasion. Whether we’re heading to a party, the park, or a family dinner, we aim to match fashion with function—comfort is never sacrificed.

Do you have any smart shopping tips for dressing kids stylishly on a budget?
Plan ahead! It allows time to hunt for deals and choose pieces that mix well across outfits. I also invest in timeless staples that last in both quality and style.

How do you stay organized with her wardrobe?
I rotate by season—keeping the current pieces accessible and storing off-season items in secondary closets. With a wardrobe like Emma’s, organization is key!

New York kids fashion editorial

Where do you find inspiration for styling Emma?
Mostly from brand campaigns and runway looks. Then we add our personal twist to make it feel uniquely Emma. It’s about reimagining inspiration into something intimate and expressive.

Have you collaborated with brands? What makes a partnership meaningful?
Yes, and I feel very grateful for that. A meaningful partnership values the child’s experience just as much as the product. I love working with brands that share that perspective.

Emma Evalynn

Is there one outfit you’ll never forget?
Yes—the Mourenne “Tea Dress.” When it arrived, it felt like receiving a treasure. Emma still calls it her favorite of all time and says it makes her feel like a true princess.

Do you keep Emma’s clothes as keepsakes or pass them on?
A little of both. I save the most sentimental pieces for the future—maybe Emma will want to share them with her children. Others I resell or pass on to friends and family so they can continue bringing joy.

Any fashion rules you live by? Or ones you love to break?
My rule: Wear what you love.
And the motto I remind Emma of often: Your best accessory is your kindness. It never goes out of style.

Gucci kids Louis Vuitton

If Emma wanted to explore a completely different style one day, how would you react?
I’d support her wholeheartedly. Watching her evolve is part of the journey. I’ll always treasure our shared memories, but I’m equally excited to see her embrace her own path.

What do you hope Emma learns from growing up in a creative, fashion-forward home?
I hope she learns that self-expression is powerful, and style is just one beautiful way to share who she is. I want her to appreciate the artistry behind fashion, to celebrate her individuality, and to carry forward the confidence, creativity, and joy that this journey has given us.

What do you love the most about Junior Style?

Junior Style feels like a celebration of childhood creativity and the joy of fashion-all in one vibrant space. What I admire most is how it blends inspiration with authenticity, showcasing not just beautiful styles but the real stories behind them. The platform has introduced us to a community of likeminded families and designers who share our passion for timeless, expressive clothing.
For Emma and me, it’s been a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who believe fashion can be both playful and meaningful. Whether it’s discovering new brands, seeing how other kids interpret trends, or simply enjoying the artistry of the photography, Junior Style reminds us that children’s fashion is about imagination, confidence, and the magic of dressing up-just as much as it is about the clothes themselves.

At Junior Style, we believe true style isn’t defined by the latest season’s drop. For this editorial, we opened the doors to our archive and styled every look exclusively from past collections—proving that fashion’s magic doesn’t expire. With the rise of pre-loved fashion as a form of sustainability, investing in timeless pieces and developing your personal style has never been more relevant. Some garments even go on to become rare vintage finds, treasured by collectors.

In children’s fashion, trends are less rigid than in the adult world, giving space for creativity without the pressure to constantly update a wardrobe. Yet, both traditional magazines and today’s influencers often promote a fast-paced “wear once, buy more” culture. At Junior Style, we choose a different approach. We champion individuality, imagination, and the education of aesthetic taste—skills that allow you to create stylish, on-trend looks with what you already own.

This doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate new designers and collections—we absolutely do. But we also advocate for conscious shopping. Children grow quickly, and while new pieces will always be needed, a thoughtful wardrobe built on timeless style and creativity will outlast any season.

When Little Feet Find Stillness

Discovering slow luxury at the Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como

A Family Escape to the Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como

Junior Style contributor Leila and her daughter Lina set off on another adventure—this time to the magical shores of Lake Como. They expected scenic views and serene moments. What they didn’t expect? That the calmest, most enchanted guest at the Mandarin Oriental would be young Lina herself—proving that true luxury isn’t just for adults, but for the littlest travelers too. Join them as they discover the kind of elegance that speaks softly, welcomes gently, and creates memories that linger long after the bags are unpacked.

Where the Lake Meets Stillness

What if the most surprising part of a luxury family escape wasn’t the views or the villa—but the way your toddler seems to bloom into a calmer, more grounded version of themselves? At the Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como, that’s exactly what happened. We arrived on a mild spring afternoon, the lake stretched out like glass, and the gardens humming with birdsong. Everything—my thoughts, my breath, even Lina’s usually boundless energy—began to soften. As I was welcomed with a warm towel perfumed with orange blossom, Lina was offered a chilled apple juice in a glass engraved with her name. She clutched it carefully and whispered, “It’s for me?”

A Family Escape to the Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como

Luxury That Speaks to Children Too

In our suite, a miniature bathrobe waited for Lina, along with soft toys, a ribbon-tied itinerary of child-friendly ideas, and a personal note from the general manager—addressed just to her.

The Mandarin Oriental doesn’t brand itself as a “family hotel”—and that’s the magic. There’s no overstimulation, no cartoonish clutter. Instead, there’s dignity, attention, and quiet delight woven into every detail.

“Like Nonna,” she said, pressing the dough with her palms, mimicking the chef with adorable precision.

Gnocchi & Grace: A Day in the Life

One day, Lina stood in the kitchen beside the hotel’s chef, rolling gnocchi with serious concentration and flour on her nose. Later, we boarded the hotel’s polished wooden Riva boat and glided across the lake. She sat quietly, sunhat on, bunny in hand, curls lifting in the breeze. No screens. No noise. Just the sound of water and the wonder of the moment.

Another day, she joined the hotel’s Kids’ Club—a serene space filled with nature walks, painting corners, and gentle activities designed to stimulate, not distract. She returned from the garden with a bouquet of flowers and a proudly painted “masterpiece.”

Lake Como Mandarin oriental

A Spa for Two Generations

Yes, there’s a children’s spa menu—and no, it’s not a gimmick. Lina was given a gentle lavender-scented massage designed specifically for little ones. She emerged from her treatment pink-cheeked, mellow, and marvelously calm.

While she relaxed, I enjoyed an Ayurvedic massage in the next room. It felt like a true family moment of well-being—together, yet apart in the best way.

A Barefoot Goodbye

On our final evening, as golden hour settled over the lake, I watched Lina walk barefoot across the hotel’s sprawling lawn in her pale pink dress. She paused, removed her sandals, and set them quietly on a bench.

No fuss. No rush. Just grace.

We didn’t return home with souvenirs. We returned with something rarer: a slower rhythm, softer edges, and memories so gentle they felt like silk between your fingers.

Every so often, a young talent emerges—whether in music, art, movement, or innovation—whose gift feels bigger than their years. At just six years old, Maya Portella Schulz is one of those rare prodigies. Her piano playing doesn’t just impress—it captivates. With breathtaking precision, emotional depth, and an unmistakable sincerity, Maya’s music tells stories that resonate deeply. When she plays, you don’t just hear the notes—you experience a world shaped by wonder, joy, and pure heart.

At Junior Style, we believe storytelling takes many forms—fashion, photography, performance, and beyond. And perhaps the most powerful stories are those told by children who inspire their peers through passion and determination. Maya is one of those children.

Behind every young talent is often an unsung hero—a parent who spots the spark early and nurtures it with quiet dedication. In Maya’s case, her mother plays that role wholeheartedly, supporting her daughter’s dream with love, structure, and unwavering belief.

We had the privilege of speaking with both Maya and her devoted mum about music, childhood dreams, and the beautiful balance between talent and support. Their story is a heartfelt reminder of the magic that unfolds when a child is truly seen and supported.

This is just the beginning of Maya’s journey—but her name is one you won’t forget.

The Piano Whisperer: Young Music Prodigy Maya Portella Schulz

Take a moment to get to know Maya and follow her journey on Instagram—this is only the beginning.

Hi Maya! Can you tell us a little about yourself and what’s been making you smile lately?

Hi! I’m Maya, and I’m six years old. Right now, the best thing is that my granddad is visiting us all the way from Europe! He’s here in Australia with me and Mum, and we’re having so much fun. We play games and eat pancakes together. It feels like sunshine.

What’s your very first memory of the piano? Was it love at first note?

Hmm… I was just a baby, so I don’t really remember. But there are videos of me playing and giggling on the piano when I was tiny. I still do that now—play and laugh at the same time! It’s like the piano is tickling me back.

Is there one song you could play on repeat forever and still love it just as much?

Yes! Prelude in C minor by Bach. It’s deep and kind of dramatic, but beautiful. It makes me feel powerful—like I’m telling a secret without using words.

Do you like reading music or making up your own better?

Oh! I love making up my own songs. I started doing that when I was three. I imagine pictures in my head while I play—like stories with princesses and dragons or sometimes just the sound of rain.

The Piano Whisperer: Young Music Prodigy Maya Portella Schulz

How does it feel when you perform in front of people? Scary or exciting?

It feels like butterflies—but good ones! I get a little nervous at the start, but then I hear the first note, and it’s like the music takes my hand and says, “Let’s do this.” And when people clap? That’s my favorite part!

If your piano had a name and could talk, what would it say to you before a concert?

“Piano” would probably say, “Trust me. We’ve got this.” I think she’d [piano] be kind and wise—maybe a little cheeky too.

What do you do when something feels really, really hard?

I break it into little pieces. Then I play those pieces slowly—five perfect times in a row! That’s my superpower. The next day it’s like, “Hey! I can do this!” and I feel super proud.

What do you love besides music? What fills your days with fun?

I do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and athletics—I’m super fast at running! Not so great at throwing though. I also write stories and ride my bike with Mum. And when it’s hot, we go swimming. Splashing around is the best.

When you play, do you imagine stories or feelings?

Always! Some songs feel like dreams. Others remind me of adventures or happy days. I love listening to my recordings in the car or right before bed—they help me remember how I felt when I played them.

What’s your biggest dream for the future?

I want to be a musician! I’ll play piano and guitar and sing—and maybe teach too. I want to help other kids find their music voice, like I found mine.

From Mum, With Love: A Parent’s View Behind the Scenes

Maya’s mother is a quiet powerhouse—balancing support, structure, and boundless love as she nurtures her daughter’s talent. We asked her to share more about what it’s like raising a young artist.

When did you first notice your daughter’s connection to music?
Maya has always been surrounded by music. From a very young age, she listened to melodies with fascination and attended baby music group classes. I knew something special was happening when she began to play lullabies by ear on the piano—songs she had only heard before bedtime. Even before taking formal lessons, she would “compose” her own little tunes. She started official piano lessons at just three years old, but her creativity had already taken root long before then.

Was the piano something she was naturally drawn to, or did you guide her toward it?
We had an electric piano at home, and I always encouraged her to explore it. The only rules were: no food or drinks near the piano, and clean hands before playing! As a baby, she was free to bang on the keys as much as she wanted—we could always turn the volume down! She also loved the pre-recorded music features and would listen to them over and over again, totally mesmerized by the melodies.

How do you support her passion while keeping things fun and lighthearted?
Maya has an amazing music community that keeps things exciting. Her lessons are full of creativity, with fun challenges, prizes to win, and themed concerts held three times a year—where kids even dress up! At home, we make practice playful with colorful flashcards, plush toys, and a little koala bear she clips to her clothes as a reward when she conquers a difficult section. It makes her giggle to think about where the koala might end up next—on her sleeve, her collar, even her socks!

Has there been a moment in her musical journey that moved or surprised you deeply?
Absolutely. I’ll never forget her first public performance. She was just four years old and had a memory slip mid-piece. She stopped and looked out at the audience—I braced myself, thinking she might cry or walk off stage. But instead, she paused calmly and then started over, as if nothing had happened. No tears, no panic, just composure. She’s naturally shy, but on stage, she transforms into this confident performer. Even now, it surprises me every time.

Maya Portella Schulz

Does musical talent run in your family, or is Maya the first?
I played guitar as a child and taught myself a bit of piano, but Maya has far exceeded anything I imagined. I introduced music early on because I wanted her to have a way to express herself—but she’s taken that gift and made it her own.

How involved are you in her practice sessions? Do you guide her, or let her take the lead?
I still sit with her for about 90% of her practice time. It used to be 100%, so we’re making progress! I attend and sometimes film all her piano lessons so I can better understand how to help her at home. Even though she knows what to do, she likes having me next to her—whether it’s to rub her back, touch her hair, or give her a cuddle when she gets frustrated. Those little moments really help her reset and keep going.

How do you balance her musical training with school, rest, and play?
Maya practices every morning before school. After school, she switches gears and plays sports. Then, before dinner, she has quiet time—she showers and relaxes while I prepare the meal. Our schedule is tight, but she thrives on routine, so it works well for us.

How do you handle the attention that comes with early talent—from the media, teachers, or the public?
So far, it’s been a positive experience. Her school teachers are supportive and flexible when she needs time off for concerts or competitions. Journalists who have approached us have been kind and respectful, and the public is generally very encouraging. Of course, there are always comments about how things could be improved—this is classical music, after all, and perfection is elusive! I shield her from negative feedback and only share the positive messages. She can read, but I manage her social media exposure carefully. I never let her read comments unless I’ve checked them first.

That said, Maya is very sensitive when she feels her playing “bothers” others. It’s happened a couple of times in public spaces, and those moments have shaken her confidence for weeks. She’s still so young and vulnerable to discouragement.

What advice would you give to other parents who notice early talent in their child?
Find the right teacher—that’s the single most important thing. Surround your child with people who understand and support their journey. Music is an investment of time, energy, and money for the whole family. If your social circle doesn’t include other music-oriented families, it can feel isolating. But I believe this holds true for any activity pursued at a high level.

What do you hope she remembers most from this chapter of her life—beyond the music itself?
I hope she remembers that anything is possible with consistency, passion, and patience. I also hope that music remains a lifelong source of joy for her, whether she chooses to pursue it professionally or simply keeps it as a treasured hobby.

What are your thoughts on Junior Style?
I deeply admire Junior Style for its commitment to celebrating children and their talents. Kids have so much potential—we often underestimate what they’re capable of. By encouraging their interests early on, we help shape confident, curious, and creative individuals. I’m a big believer in supporting children’s education and development, and I truly value platforms like Junior Style that help them shine.

Introducing Leila: Junior Style’s New Voice in Travel & Lifestyle

At Junior Style, we’re always inspired by women who lead with grace, intention, and a beautifully curated eye for life. We’re delighted to welcome Leila, a global traveler, mother, and founder of a bespoke concierge service, as our newest contributor. With a passport full of stamps and a heart full of stories, Leila invites us into her world—one where motherhood meets mindful luxury, and each journey is designed with purpose.

From the sun-kissed villas of Provence to the white-sand shores of the Caribbean, Leila explores the art of living well with her daughter Lina by her side. Together, they remind us that travel is more than a destination—it’s a way of raising curious, compassionate, and culturally aware children.

In her column, Leila will share the moments that matter, the places worth knowing, and her insider tips for traveling with children in style. Join us as we begin this new journey—The Private Itinerary: Curated Journeys, Cherished Moments.

The Private Itinerary

Follow Leila and Lina at instagram @theprivateitinerary

Introduce yourself, your business, and your blog. What inspired you to create a platform around luxury travel and lifestyle?

I’m Leila—travel curator, luxury lifestyle creator, and above all, a mother with a deep passion for discovering the world’s most refined destinations. I was born in the heart of Provence, surrounded by elegant châteaux and sun-drenched domaines that shaped my taste for beauty and authenticity. With Moroccan heritage woven into my roots and a home base now in London, my worldview is richly multicultural and deeply personal.

My platform, The Private Itinerary, grew organically from my own lifestyle and vision. It’s more than a blog or an Instagram account—it’s a gateway into curated luxury. With over 60K followers, I use it to showcase breathtaking destinations, elegant experiences, and refined stays—always through a lens of personal connection, authenticity, and elevated living.

But what truly sets The Private Itinerary apart is my focus on bespoke travel and concierge services for high-net-worth individuals and families—especially those, like mine, who travel with children.

Your journey into concierge services started quite personally. Tell us about that defining moment.

It all began when my nephew, a professional handball player for the French national team, asked me to organize his travel around his training and game schedule. It was clear how complex and demanding life on the move could be for elite athletes and their families. That moment sparked something—I realized there was a real gap in the market.

Athletes, celebrities, and entrepreneurs often need discreet, seamless, and highly personalized travel. They don’t just want luxury—they need it to work around their lives. That’s how I began offering private itinerary planning and concierge services, blending sophistication with efficiency.

You travel extensively with your daughter, Lina. What’s it like raising a little global citizen?

Lina is 3.5, and she’s already been to 28 countries! From the Maldives to Iceland, she approaches each destination with wonder and curiosity. After experiencing the heartbreak of multiple miscarriages, having her in my life is my greatest blessing. Watching her thrive in different cultures, trying new foods—even appreciating Michelin-star restaurants!—is one of the most joyful parts of this journey.

She’s not just along for the ride—she’s part of the adventure. She loves chatting with pilots, drawing the places we visit, and even helping me pack (her must-haves: a book, a toy, and lipstick!). Our travels are bonding experiences that help her grow and help me stay grounded in what truly matters.

Luxury travel with a child isn’t always picture-perfect. What are your go-to tips for making it work?

Let’s be honest—traveling with a toddler isn’t always glamorous. But with the right mindset and a bit of planning, it can be truly magical.

My top essentials:

  • Snacksalways. Familiar treats are lifesavers on long flights.

  • Entertainmenta tablet with her shows, a coloring book, and one surprise toy for long-haul flights.

  • Comforther cozy blanket, soft clothes, and her beloved Stitch sleep mask for nighttime flights.

  • Her own mini backpackgiving her a sense of independence makes a big difference.

Also, I plan with intention. That means choosing luxury hotels with kid perks—like family suites, children’s activities, or even welcome gifts. Places that celebrate family travel, not just tolerate it.

How do you define luxury family travel—and what’s the biggest misconception?

Many people equate luxury with excess or formality. But for me, it’s about ease, comfort, and curated experiences that allow families to connect.

Luxury family travel is about the little things: a warm welcome for your child, space for everyone to relax, and staff who remember your preferences. It’s about quality, not just cost.

There’s a misconception that luxury travel doesn’t suit families with young kids—but I’ve found the opposite. The best properties go out of their way to create joy and comfort for children, which makes the entire experience better for parents too.

Can you share some of your favorite destinations and why they work so well for families?

Absolutely!

  • The MaldivesA paradise for parents and kids. The calm waters, overwater villas with safety features, and kids’ clubs make it ideal.

  • ParisCharming parks, buttery croissants, and endless culture. We love it for short breaks.

  • Lake ComoWe had an incredible stay at the Mandarin Oriental Lago di Como. The setting is dreamlike, and the service was so thoughtful—even toward Lina.

  • Los Angeles’ Hotel Bel-AirMagical grounds, impeccable service, and family-friendly luxury at its best.

  • IcelandWaterfalls, glaciers, and black sand beaches make it a thrilling, educational adventure for children.

  • Italy (Rome, Milan, and beyond)Family is at the heart of the culture. And the pasta? Always a hit with Lina.

Next on our list: Japana perfect blend of tradition, innovation, and child-friendly experiences.

What’s your fashion philosophy when traveling—and how do you style Lina for luxury destinations?

Fashion is part of the experience. It’s how we express ourselves, and I love curating looks that reflect the destination—from beachy neutrals to polished dinner outfits.

For Lina, I focus on comfort and quality. Breathable dresses, stylish UV-protected swimsuits, and comfy sandals are our staples. She’s already developing her own style and often wants to match with me—those are the moments I treasure most. One of her first fashion milestones was getting a Fendi Kids dress in Milan—she was over the moon!

What makes your approach to luxury travel with children unique—and how can people work with you?

My approach blends luxury lifestyle expertise with the heart of motherhood. I understand the needs of high-net-worth families because I live them. I curate not just itineraries, but experiencesfrom Michelin-star dining with a toddler to child-friendly yacht charters in Ibiza.

Through The Private Itinerary, I offer custom concierge services, helping families, athletes, and professionals experience luxury travel that’s tailored, seamless, and joyful. Whether it’s a multigenerational escape, a romantic getaway with childcare, or a first-class family adventure—I’m here to make it beautiful, meaningful, and unforgettable.

Luxury isn’t about perfection—it’s about intention. Every trip is a story, and with my daughter by my side, I want those stories to be full of joy, connection, and discovery. If I can inspire other families to explore the world with open hearts and elevated standards—that’s the real reward.

Hands-On Fashion Fun

Monnalisa knows that fashion is more than just wearing something beautiful—it’s about creating beauty. At a special design station, mini guests got to dream big, using real Monnalisa fabrics flown in directly from the brand’s headquarters in Italy to design their own couture creations. Just steps away, another creative corner invited kids to make their own charm bracelets, adding a sparkle of personality with colorful beads and letter charms.
Adding an extra layer of authenticity and heart to the event, a specially dedicated team from Monnalisa’s Italian headquarters flew in to support the occasion in person. Their presence highlighted the brand’s deep commitment to both the community and the cause, bringing a touch of Tuscany’s warmth and elegance straight to Miami.

The Pink Carpet Moment

Then came the spotlight! A pink carpet rolled out just for the little stars, where they were styled in the latest Monnalisa pieces and treated to their very own mini glam session. With cameras flashing and smiles glowing, each child had the chance to shine like a true model—twirling, posing, and celebrating their inner sparkle.

Delightful Details at Every Turn

The experience was as sweet as it was stylish. Children indulged in handcrafted candies adorned with edible flowers—specially made for the occasion—while parents enjoyed elegant, floral-infused cocktails. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to enchant and delight guests of all ages.

A Thoughtful Gift for Moms

Monnalisa made sure moms felt the love too. Each guest received a limited-edition bear charm—a delicate token of appreciation and beauty, created especially for this event. The charm was such a hit that Monnalisa plans to make it available soon as a collectible item at Monnalisa boutiques and in their online store. Stay tuned!

Where Fashion Meets Purpose

This stylish afternoon wasn’t just about luxury; it was about love, creativity, and community. Thanks to the collaboration between Monnalisa, Eva Leah, and Junior Style, Miami experienced a heartwarming reminder that fashion can do more than turn heads—it can change lives.

An Exclusive Interview with Dina Moon, Head of Buying at Childrensalon.

Childrensalon, winner of the Junior Style Award for Best Kids’ Retailer, is a shining example of excellence in children’s fashion. With a deep commitment to dressing children beautifully and nurturing aesthetic education, Childrensalon has become a trusted name for families around the world.

Behind this success is a dedicated team of professionals, with Dina Moon, as head of buying, playing a pivotal role in shaping what children will wear next season. Her keen eye for detail and passion for celebrating childhood through fashion make her an integral part of the brand’s ongoing journey.

In this exclusive interview, Dina shares how Childrensalon discovers trends, stays connected with its customers, and continues to set the standard for quality and creativity in kids’ fashion. From the highlights of Fall/Winter 2024 to timeless festive-season must-haves, Dina offers a glimpse into the artistry and care behind one of the world’s most beloved children’s retailers.

Childrensalon

How do you discover and stay ahead of new trends in kids’ fashion?
For me, it’s a continuously evolving process. Childrensalon has been dressing children beautifully for over 70 years, and over time, the way we buy has evolved, but some core elements remain relevant. We are lucky to have longstanding partnerships with many of our brands. For our buying team, the traditional cycle of traveling and visiting brands in their showrooms or at trade shows, still provides opportunities for inspiration and collaboration with our community of designers. These events are also where we spot many new trends and emerging design talent. Many of our team members are parents, and their lived experiences, combined with engaging and connecting on social media, open up whole new avenues of inspiration for us. One of our greatest resources, though, has to be our customers. After all, if we don’t buy what they like, we will know about it! We are fortunate to have great relationships with them, and we often hear directly or through our customer service and personal shopping teams what trends and brands they most want to see from us. This feedback is vital to our buying process.

What are the biggest trends you’re seeing for Fall/Winter 2024?
It has been a great season for our brands. Where do I start? There was a lot of focus on standout details—bows, sequins, sparkles—and plenty of references to Coco Chanel’s iconic style with different takes on tweed twinsets for little girls. Dressing children beautifully is a key part of our heritage, dating back to when our founder, Sybil Harriman, first opened her shop in 1952. These special pieces continue to resonate with our customers. We also saw many of our designers experimenting with neutral palettes, textures, and softness, with sherpa and suede featured in different collections. I think comfort and calm were two significant influences on designers this season. We all need some of that at the moment! Sibling dressing is also a focal point—many parents love to match their family looks, and we have dedicated a whole section of our site to “Style for Siblings” to help customers coordinate with ease.

Childrensalon

In your opinion, what sets Childrensalon apart from other retailers? What do you believe is the key to its success?
It’s hard to sum up in one sentence, but ultimately, I think it comes down to “care.” We care about beautiful, high-quality clothing that not only looks good but feels good for children to wear and have fun in, and can be handed down as they grow. We care about honoring heritage—both our own and the traditional art of making children’s clothing, using techniques such as hand-smocking. These classic collections form a key part of our offering. We also care about helping our customers through every milestone in their children’s lives—from birth and first steps to school and teenage years. Our buy is carefully selected to offer a wide range of brands and price points to suit every family, accompanied by dedicated customer service every step of the way.

What drew you to work in kids’ fashion, and what keeps you passionate about it?
Earlier in my career, I worked in women’s fashion and thought I would end up as a womenswear buyer. One day, after helping in the childrenswear department when they were short-staffed, I fell in love with the happiness of the shoppers and the occasions they were shopping for. Seeing new mums and dads, grandmas, aunties, and uncles was just so lovely, and I loved helping them find that special gift. The rest is history! Later, when I had my own children, my job took on an even deeper meaning. This is what keeps me feeling passionate about it.

Childrensalon

With the rise of digital tools, how do you view the role of in-person events like trade shows, fashion shows, and presentations? Are they still important to you?
Absolutely. Nothing beats sitting with real humans and experiencing the collection. Seeing the cut and feel of the fabrics up close isn’t something that can be replicated digitally (yet!). That said, the changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic have been positive additions. It’s great that we can view products online and have video calls with our brands to maintain close working relationships. These tools also help reduce travel commitments and lower our carbon footprint.

What are the must-haves for young fashionistas this year for the festive season?
At Childrensalon, we take the festive season very seriously. We are less about “fashion” and more about dressing children beautifully, so we put a lot of thought and care into ensuring every item we sell is of the highest quality. I do love a Christmas jumper, as well as the amazing party dresses and sparkly shoes available at this time of year. Customers know they can come to us for their special pieces, Christmas pajamas, matching sibling styles, and more. Our beautiful seasonal selection is bound to have something to please them and their little ones.

Childrensalon

What are your thoughts on Junior Style and its role in the kids’ fashion landscape?
I love that it brings together a vibrant global community of people passionate about childhood and kids’ clothing. I enjoy learning about others’ perspectives, and I think that shining a light on this often-overlooked (but highly creative) sector of the industry is vital for keeping us connected.

At just 7 years old, Logan has already carved out a space for himself in the world of modeling, and his journey is nothing short of inspiring. From starting his career at the tender age of three to working with some of the most coveted brands, Logan has grown into a confident, talented model who loves every aspect of his craft. Whether he’s striking a pose in a sleek suit, playing basketball during a photoshoot, or traveling to exciting new locations, Logan brings enthusiasm, charisma, and a big smile to everything he does.

We had the chance to catch up with Logan in New York during our latest project, where he shared more about his journey, his inspirations, and his big dreams for the future. Beyond modeling, Logan is just like any other kid—he loves basketball, science class, and playing Roblox with his friends. But it’s his dedication, his love for fashion, and his positive energy that truly set him apart.

In this exclusive interview, Logan opens up about his exciting world and what keeps him motivated. Let’s dive in and get to know this rising star taking the industry by storm!

Q: Are you represented by a modeling or acting agency?
A: Yes! I’m lucky to be represented in some of the biggest modeling hubs like Miami, New York City, and Atlanta. Each city brings its own unique vibe, and I love being able to work in all of them!

Q: What inspired you to start modeling?
A: My mom actually got me into modeling when I was just three years old. At first, it was just something fun to do, but as I got older, I started loving everything about it—fashion, traveling, and especially making new friends. It’s been such an amazing journey!

Modeling Experience

Q: What’s the best part about being a model?
A: There’s so much to love! Meeting new friends on set is definitely one of my favorite things. I also enjoy traveling to cool places, trying on all sorts of different styles.

Q: What has been your favorite photoshoot or project so far?
A: It has to be the JD Sports shoot! Not only did I get to model, but I also got to play basketball during the shoot. It felt like I was combining two of my passions into one awesome day. Another amazing experience was walking in my first fashion show for the Children’s Show this summer. Plus, shooting a campaign for the next edition in New York was incredibly cool—it’s something I’ll never forget!

Q: Which brands have you modeled for?
A: I’ve been fortunate to work with so many incredible brands like JD Sports, Adidas, Janie & Jack, Pink Chicken, Academy Sports, Zulu, Ardene, Jazwares, Little Parni, and Lands’ End. I’ve also done some editorials where I got to wear one of my favorite brands, Molo.

Q: If you could work with any brand, which one would be at the top of your list?
A: Oh, that’s a tough one! I’d love to work with Zara, Abercrombie, Kith, Nike, Ralph Lauren, Balmain, and Gucci. Each of them has such a unique style, and it’d be a dream to bring their designs to life!

Fashion & Inspiration

Q: What’s your favorite fashion magazine or blog?
A: Harper’s Bazaar is definitely my favorite magazine. It’s so stylish and inspiring, and I always find new ideas for my own looks when I read it. And, of course, Junior Style is our favorite when it comes to the kids’ fashion world. It’s the go-to for discovering amazing brands and staying up-to-date with all the latest trends!

Q: What do you like about Junior Style the most?
A: Junior Style is amazing! It represents so much diversity in the children’s fashion industry all around the world. It connects kids like me to brands we might not know about, and that opens up endless possibilities for fashion and creativity. I think it’s the ultimate guide to everything kids and everything fashion—it’s inspiring and helps us explore so many cool styles and ideas!

Q: Which models do you look up to for inspiration?
A: Honestly, all the kids I’ve met on set inspire me in different ways. But there’s one guy I worked with who played my “set dad” on a photoshoot—he really stood out. He was so kind and supportive, and he made me feel really confident.

Q: What’s your favorite item in your closet?
A: I love a comfy-cool sweat set paired with Nike sneakers, but I also adore dressing up in a fancy suit. It’s all about the balance between casual and stylish!

Personal Interests

Q: Who is your role model?
A: My mom and God—they both inspire me every single day and guide me to be my best self.

Q: Do you have other hobbies or sports you enjoy? Tell us more!
A: Definitely! Basketball is my absolute favorite, but I also love swimming and drawing when I have downtime.

Q: What are your favorite subjects in school?
A: Science is my favorite! I think it’s so cool to learn about how the world works and do fun experiments.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: When I’m not modeling or doing schoolwork, I love playing Roblox and hanging out with my friends. It’s a great way to relax and have fun.

Fun & Aspirations

Q: If you could have three wishes, what would they be?
A: Hmm… to be a billionaire, to have a superpower, and to become a chef someday.

Q: If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be?
A: My Poppop who passed away—I’d give anything to spend time with him again.

Q: What is your biggest dream?
A: I want to play in the NBA and continue modeling. Why choose when you can do both?

Q: What’s your favorite book or movie?
A: Pete the Cat is my favorite book, and I can’t wait for Venom 3!

GlamZGala Shines Bright in LA: A Night of Fashion, Talent, and Creativity

On October 20, the heart of Los Angeles became the stage for a dazzling display of young talent and high fashion at GlamZGala, the international kids’ fashion and talent event that’s making waves in the industry. Hosted in the city known for its glamour and star-studded events, GlamZGala exceeded expectations with its vibrant celebration of youth, creativity, and self-expression.

A Night to Remember

This year’s GlamZGala attracted a wide range of young models, designers, and influencers, all eager to showcase their talents. The event featured a spectacular runway show that highlighted stunning collections from emerging and well-established children’s fashion brands. Under the expert helm of creative director Aleksandra Ataca, Junior Style’s editor-in-chief, the selection of brands, styling, and overall vision was a perfect fit for showcasing the young stars. Junior Style proudly returned as the exclusive media partner, bringing its refined touch to the project and elevating the show to new heights.

Aleksandra’s direction brought together eight top brands, each presenting standout collections:

Monnalisa, the Italian mogul renowned for its luxurious, whimsical designs.

Molo, the best heritage brand by the Junior Style Awards, known for its trendsetting collections from Denmark.

TWIMC, an emerging star in children’s footwear, adding a chic edge to the runway looks.

Patachou, from Portugal, which showcased timeless elegance with beautifully crafted garments.

Ozlem Karatay, renowned for its Kids Haute Couture, bringing an air of glamour.

LiaLea and SHESHE from Turkey, both offering unique, detailed designs.

Stella Mlia and Ozlem Karatay Teens, catering to young girls who love fashion but seek age-appropriate, stylish options.

Sal & Pimenta, known for its adorable pieces for the smallest attendees.

The designs on the runway ranged from chic streetwear to couture-level gowns, offering a delightful mix of styles for every taste. The colorful, playful silhouettes embodied youthful elegance, with the young models bringing the outfits to life. The audience, a mix of fashion professionals and enthusiasts, marveled at the creativity and craftsmanship behind each look.

Beyond the glamour, GlamZGala remains committed to making a difference. This year, the event partnered with several charities to ensure proceeds would go toward empowering children and supporting initiatives focused on education and creativity. Among the charitable partners was YourMomCares, an organization focused on children’s mental health. This partnership emphasized the event’s mission to not only celebrate fashion and talent but also foster community and compassion.

The night was graced by influential personalities and VIP guests from the fashion world, including top child influencers and their parents. The event’s B2C focus made it an inclusive experience, offering families, designers, and fashion enthusiasts the opportunity to connect in an intimate yet glamorous setting. The diverse audience, which included local communities and international supporters, created a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere, enhancing the overall excitement and energy of the night.

As GlamZGala continues to grow, it remains a beacon of opportunity for young talent in the global fashion industry. Each event raises the bar, drawing in a more diverse and talented group of participants and supporters. The Los Angeles edition was a resounding success, leaving attendees eager for future collaborations and events. In the words of Anna Matchneva, founder of GlamZGala, “It’s incredible to see how much passion and creativity these young talents bring to the stage. GlamZGala is about giving them the space to shine and inspire others, and tonight they did just that.”

As the curtains closed on this magical night, one thing was clear: GlamZGala is not just an event—it’s a movement, celebrating the next generation of trendsetters, artists, and visionaries. The future of fashion has never looked brighter.
